Happy 2026! What Will Decorating Be like in the New Year?

Happy New Year decorating friends! I don't know what has come over me but for some reason I need a slight change in my world of decorating. I have stuck to Afro Boho for about 5 years. I love it mind you but I want to try something different without going too far off budget. I have inventory so I wont need to make any huge purchases. It is just a matter of restyling with what I already have. It is just going to be an eclectic mix. I will try to give it a name later. 

I started changing things a little already after removing most of my Christmas decorations. Had Amazon not delayed my storage bin order today I would have been 80% done meanwhile my dining room looks like a storage unit. Hopefully they will come tomorrow, early would be nice so I can clean the rest of the stuff out of them so I can start transforming in there as well. The living room is coming along nicely. One thing I moved out of there was the huge black dresser that doubled as a tv stand and storage unit. I have things seasonal things stored in the 7 draws. The dining room is its home now. The living room looks a lot less heavy minus that piece. I left the black leather recliner in there to keep a pop of black in the room.

I am really trying to figure out how to blend the two styles. Wish me some success in doing so, Lol. It is going to be a process because I have OCD when it comes to decorating. I am sure I am going to figure out. It wont be a heavy presence of either style, just a happy medium, if not I will have to choose one and stick with it. I never thought I would come to this rode again but here I am. We will see where it leads me so stay tuned.
