Christmas Joy 2024

As I type this entry while watching one one of my favorite Christmas movies I am quite exhausted because its been a long day but I am elated because we are still within the Christmas season. It went by fast as it always seems to do every year. I try to grab a hold of it and get the most out of it from September through December. This year I believe is the first time I have gotten so much joy out of the holiday season even when I am tired and wore out. Our Thanksgiving was awesome and all my family was here at my home. Christmas is merely 9 days away because today has come to a close.

I am so blessed my daughter and I got to go to a Christmas Concert yesterday and to dinner afterwards. It was freezing cold but we had a ball. I am finished completely with decorating and fine tuning everything in here for Christmas. It was so much fun finding everything I wanted and seeing my vision for Christmas 2024 come to fruition week by week. Last minute additions were added over the weekend. I am so giddy spending my days listening to beautiful Christmas music, watching all the Christmas movies, specials,  cartoons and enjoying the sight of all my Christmas decorations.

All in All the true meaning for me is Christ and the Advent season. We have our traditions from childhood but when you peel back the layers of tradition at the root of it all is Jesus: His birth, God in the flesh. Emmanuel means God with us. I will never haggle over the season, day, date and time. We don't know it just like we don't know the day, month, season nor exact time Christ will return again. What we do know is there are two holy holidays that revolve around Christ and that is when we reflect on His birth and His Resurrection. One takes place during the Winter Season and the other takes place during the Spring Season. These are the two designated times of the year we remember and celebrate the fact that these events happened.

I decorate traditional in my dining room and in my front room  there is many visuals of Jesus, you would know and feel it if you ever visited. He will never be left out and my reflection on His birth is evident during the Christmas season. I am blessed to be able to share messages for the past three years for four weeks during Advent to all who desire to hear. Sharing Christ with others is always a part of my holiday agenda. I do so outside of the Christmas and Resurrection celebrations as well. I hope everyone is having a nice holiday season. We have much to be thankful for. I am always grateful for what is and what is not and remember how blessed I am daily and I am not talking about anything material or monetary. I could go on and on about the blessing of being awaken by GOD each morning, having food to eat, clothes on my back, a roof over my head, my health, mind, and strength to do things and to have my family in good health and provided for. These are only things given to us by God.

Let us not forget to keep those in prayer who are sick, homeless, lonely, those with addictions and or not in their right mind. Prayer changes things.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season.

Take care and be safe.
