Winter/New Year/New Look
As I sit here this early Saturday evening in the wake of a winter storm that is about to blanket the world I remain calm. We are only 7 days away from the end of January 2026 and I am still watching Christmas movies. I have gotten into watching believe it or not snowfalls on YouTube. I love the snow covered neighborhoods and the trees all covered in snow as the people walk and film. Some of the videos have music and pretty colored birds in trees. I love winter but not damaging storms so much. I am praying for no power outage and or structural damage to my home or anyone else's for that matter. Just as water is beautiful and can cause catastrophic damage so can snow and ice. Let us all pray for safety and warmth during the time of the storm which will start tonight into Monday evening.
Well 75% of the Christmas stuff is packed away in my home. I am loving the light and airy feel of it now. I gave it a refresh. I am loving the hydrangeas and the new color pallet of white and green with some brown, black and grey also. It is really lightening my spirit. I needed a change. I cant believe its on 17 degrees. When I woke up it was only 10. I am about to go outside and salt my walkway and steps before dinner at 6. I just wanted to make a entry today to show you how far the refresh is coming along. There is still more work to do. I have fell in love with green again. I found two beautiful rugs yesterday. I cant wait to put them down but that will be last. I want to receive my painting for the wall and get that hung and I found the cutest French Country lamps. I am still on the fence about the purchase so stay tuned and see what my decision will be. I also found some beautiful green and white panels which I will also wait to put up. They look like a burst of spring but if I put a set of drapes at each end I might can put them up in my dining room next month, stay tuned. I never thought I would I would gravitate to green like I am presently but then after all it has been my favorite color most of my life. LOL
Thanks for stopping by and reading the blog. Stay safe in the wake of this pending storm. Indoors seems to be the best place to be staying warm and comfortable. Talk to you in the next entry.
Happy Decorating!!!!!
